My
second home built pendulum
the first used a brute force motor swinging a hard drive platter, built in
1999.
I call the circuit the "force
coil" using a sensitive feedback loop with two complementary
transistors... no real point going into detail that will be in the book.
Although
a bit more mechanically complex this design will free swing for 7 minuets!
The beauty of this is the heavier the pendulum the less friction there is.
Oh, and im beginning to really like sintra in construction, will probably
see more of that in newer bots.
